שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל יְיָ אֱלֹהֵינוּ יְיָ אֶחָד:
Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad.
Hear, O Israel: Adonai is our God, Adonai is One.
בָּרוּךְ שֵׁם כְּבוֹד מַלְכוּתוֹ לְעוֹלָם וָעֶד:
Baruch shem kevod malchuto le'olam va'ed.
Blessed be the name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever.
וְאָהַבְתָּ אֵת יְיָ אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּכָל־לְבָבְךָ וּבְכָל־נַפְשְׁךָ וּבְכָל־מְאֹדֶךָ
Ve'ahavta et Adonai Elohecha bechol levavcha uvchol nafshecha uvchol me'odecha.
You shall love Adonai your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might.
וְהָיוּ הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי מְצַוְּךָ הַיּוֹם עַל־לְבָבֶךָ
Vehayu hadevarim ha'eleh asher anochi metzavecha hayom al levavecha.
And these words that I command you today shall be upon your heart.
וְשִׁנַּנְתָּם לְבָנֶיךָ וְדִבַּרְתָּ בָּם בְּשִׁבְתְּךָ בְּבֵיתֶךָ וּבְלֶכְתְּךָ בַדֶּרֶךְ וּבְשָׁכְבְּךָ וּבְקוּמֶךָ
Veshinantam levanecha vedibarta bam beshivtecha beveitecha uvlechtecha vaderech uvshochbecha uvkumecha.
You shall teach them to your children and speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the way, when you lie down and when you rise.
וּקְשַׁרְתָּם לְאוֹת עַל־יָדֶךָ וְהָיוּ לְטֹטָפֹת בֵּין עֵינֶיךָ
Ukshartam le'ot al yadecha, vehayu letotafot bein einecha.
You shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.
וּכְתַבְתָּם עַל־מְזֻזוֹת בֵּיתֶךָ וּבִשְׁעָרֶיךָ:
Uchtavtam al mezuzot beitecha uvisharecha.
And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
